Architecture, interiors, and environmental landscape photographer Ber Murphy was born and raised in Cork City, Ireland, before setting up shop in NYC. He received his training in photography at International Center of Photography (ICP), continuing on to Parsons School of Design, where his introduction to the view camera quickly developed into a life-long relationship with the large format medium. Even with the advent of digital, he still finds ways to shoot large Format for clients, as well as his ever expanding series of projects, Sleeping Giant: 11101 Rezoned, Wildfire, his newly conceived Plants and his love paean to the Mediterranean Isle, I Heart Ibiza.
Today, Ber's career is expanding more and more into the architecture and Interiors realms, where he shoots for a growing list of clients that includes the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, Narofsky Architecture, BarlisWedlick Architects, Bacardi USA, and computer-network giant Extreme Network. Ber has received several solo exhibitions of his urban landscapes in New York City and regionally. (See list below).
He currently lives in NYC and Columbia County, New York, with his writer wife, Michele, and their two aging Sphynx cats, Cairo and Feejee.
